Motorcycling Australia (MA) is pleased to announce that the Bel Ray 6hour Endurance Race promoted by James Spence Promotions has been awarded Australian Championship status for 2010. The Championship is scheduled to be held at Phillip Island, Victoria, from 3-5 December 2010.

40 teams will be able to enter the event and the classes will be:

•Superstock 1000
•Superstock 600
•Production 1000
•Production 600
The weekend will also play host to several support classes including the Motorcycle Road Race Development Association (MRRDA), British European and American Racing (BEARS) and a proposed round of the 2010 Australian Road Racing Sidecar Championship.

Supplementary Regulations in addition to class rules and the event schedule will be available to download from both the MA website atwww.ma.org.au/roadracing and the event website at http://www.the6hour.com.au.

Event Promoter, James Spence, was thrilled this event had been awarded Championship status.

"To have the Bel Ray 6hour granted Australian Championship Status in only its second year is a testament to the success of the event held at Oran Park last November," Spence said.

"We will be doing everything we can to make this year's event at Phillip Island one of the largest and most successful weekends of the year".

I would really really love to do it...
Don't wanna enter my 15 year old 80hp racer though... Need to find a "friend" with a Superstock bike...

PI is plenty wide enough for the fast blokes to get around. There were plenty of C/D graders on pretty stock bikes @ Oran Park last year, everyone was pretty cool about it.

Yeah I think I need to do a few ride days there before racing. Budget really tight though. Would be a great experience I think

I wonder if after paying for the Corporate facilities like we did last year at Oran Park, we will get ripped off just as bad at Phillip Island???? Nothing like forking out your hard earned dollars to find ya get ripped off by them running out of food and having hot beer to consume when you get there. NERVER AGAIN! :(
